About Us

The Wang Lab will launch at LSU Health Shreveport in 2027, when principal investigator Helen Wang transitions from the University of Virginia. We investigate how ER protein quality control and broader ER functions shape neural development, physiology, aging, and disease.

Our long-term goal is to translate discoveries in ER biology into therapeutic strategies for neurological disorders. We are committed to rigorous, collaborative, and curiosity-driven science.
